AMONG THE PIONEERS
A Guide to Rambles in the Hay Cemetery

The Hay Historical Society is proud to announce the publication of Among the Pioneers, a compact guide to the historic Hay cemetery and a selection of the graves to be found there.  The Society's annual guided walks in the Hay cemetery have proved so popular that we have produced this collection of self-guided tours of selected grave-sites.  Suggested walks have been designed to follow a theme, and a small amount of biographical information is provided about those that are buried in each selected grave, along with the plot number and section (as an aid to locating grave-sites).

As well as being a guide to the Hay cemetery, Among the Pioneers serves as a souvenir of the Hay district.  The book includes a brief outline of the history of Hay and the surrounding area, a history of the cemetery itself and of its caretakers, and a cemetery map to help visitors to find their way around.  Among the Pioneers is lavishly illustrated with photographs showing many of Hay's attractions and scenes of historical significance, and is fully indexed.  It is 40 pages in length, A5 in size, and printed on high quality art paper.
