The Hay Historical Society is proud to announce the publication of Pastoral Records of the Riverina, a collection of microfilmed records of pastoral holdings in the Hay District of New South Wales. The complete set of 173 microfiche comprises 50 volumes of pastoral records. The copied records cover the day-to-day operations of various medium and large scale pastoral runs of the western Riverina, covering periods from the 1860s to the 1940s. The volumes include ledgers, journals and diaries containing a large amount of detail, including listings of shearers, wages and employment details for several of the properties. The records provide the researcher with a variety of original documents, a most valuable resource to any student of Riverine and Australian pastoral history. A number of the documents are indexed.
