The report of the Minister for Public Instruction for 1901, which has just been issued, contains the particulars of the enrolment and average attendance of scholars during that year, and the expenditure on each of the schools from the public funds of the State.  The figures for this district are as follows:–

BALRANALD. – Enrolment, 100; average attendance, 73; expenditure, £340.

BOOLIGAL. – Enrolment, 51; average attendance, 31; expenditure, £700 (including £473 on building).

BOOROORBAN. – Enrolment, 15; average attendance, 12; expenditure, £124.

CARRATHOOL. – Enrolment, 84; average attendance, 64; expenditure, £285.

DARLINGTON POINT. – Enrolment, 25; average attendance, 20; expenditure, £140.

DENILIQUIN. – Enrolment, 420; average attendance, 303; expenditure, £1,090.

GORDON’S POINT. – Enrolment, 19; average attendance, 15; expenditure, £94.

GUNBAR. – Enrolment, 20; average attendance, 18; expenditure, £237.

HAY. – Enrolment, 520; average attendance, 402; expenditure, £1,492 12s 2d.

HILLSTON. – Enrolment, 152; average attendance, 99; expenditure, £363.

IVANHOE. – Enrolment, 20; average attendance, 12; expenditure, £117.

LAMORNA. – Enrolment, 36; average attendance, 23; expenditure, £198.

MAUDE. – Enrolment, 22; average attendance, 16; expenditure, £110.

MOSSGIEL. – Enrolment, 31; average attendance, 20; expenditure, £185.

MOULAMEIN. – Enrolment, 38; average attendance, 25; expenditure, £189.

NARANDERA. [NARRANDERA] – Enrolment, 326; average attendance, 238; expenditure, £677.

OXLEY. – Enrolment, 42; average attendance, 29; expenditure, £188.

WANGANELLA. – Enrolment, 26; average attendance, 21; expenditure, £149.

WARANGESDA. [Warangesda Aboriginal Mission (Anglican), 4 km from Darlington Point] – Enrolment, 49; average attendance, 37; expenditure, £191.

WENTWORTH. – Enrolment, 93; average attendance, 75; expenditure, £520.
